Action Text is the super crisp and tight sibling of Action Condensed and Action Grotesque. It shares some of the shapes of the condensed, but it can handle small text and more structured information. Action Text comes in variable and flat formats.
Obviously the curves and details of this Vickers Super VC10 did not translate directly into letterforms. But it is evidence that even in harshest conditions there is room for an elegant curve.
This 30 second clock shows all variations and weights of Action Text. Upright and Italic, four weights each, in Bright and Dark grades. Lining numerals, all styles on the same tabular width. The italics are duplexed with the uprights.
Bright and Dark The grades: lighter and darker versions of the same weight. Could be used for animated effects in UI?
