Künstlerbrüder type
The typefaces used on the banners were drawn for this project. Erik drew the width variations, Petr drew the weight variations. A superpolation of three width masters and two weight variations (also 3 masters) provided a series of thirty fonts which could be used to make the family names fit their designated spaces. Petr also drew a series of abstract icons.
The type had to appeal to heraldry, without leaning to any specific period. It's not historically correct, it's contemporary.
