Free Fonts from LettError
What? Free fonts from LettError? Free as in beer, these fonts are just fun to play with but not serious enough to put them up for sale. Hey, you might even like them.
LTR DataMine
This font was designed a couple of years ago for the (apparently defunct) FUSE series. I've forgotten what the concept was, but I'm sure it was very profound. Each letter in this font is a small poster with words. Typing in LTR DataMine creates a wall of solid random text.
Uppercase is white on black, lowercase is reversed. Useful for making textures and, well, honestly, not much else. The download comes with the PDF of the poster I designed to go with it, a pre-matrix matrix of data. I only got the color wrong. A single download for MacOS and Windows, OpenType format. Have fun.
The Printed Word
Remember the days when everybody was concerned about legibility, in typography and type design? Ha! the Printed Word is designed with legibility in mind. Use it for mission critical documents, letters to your boss, and even the fine print on that new contract. Stop trying to subvert regular typefaces into unclear and muddy typography, use the fonts that were specifically designed for this purpose.
The Written Words
The Written Word offers the same communicative qualities as the Printed Word, but now with a nice human touch. For all those notes that require just a bit more personality.
