Advertising

Ads or nonsense - a designmachine makes corporate design.

This is not the advertising page, these are not the logos of corporate sponsors, investors or strategic partners. The names of the companies were assembled from words and parts of words that are common in English. The language is assembled using a system called Filibuster which was developed in conjunction with Jonathan Hoefler. The generated names are then combined with a series of typefaces and color schemes. By showing only fragments your imagination is forced to fill in the blanks. Are these cuttings from a corporate ID manual? Fragments of poetry? It's nothing really, just a typographic mindgame.

Properly scripted computers could help designers by making up stuff for them. Perhaps a good idea is hidden on the left page, study it closely. On the other hand, other people are reading this right now and looking as well! Now if the page was generated anew every time you opened the book...
